Privacy & Data Security

Your Data Stays Yours

• We never sell, share, or give your data to third parties.
• Other users cannot see your sites, finds, or GPS coordinates — ever.
• We don't run ads and don't use tracking for advertising purposes.
• You can export all your data (sites, finds, photos) as a ZIP file anytime from Settings.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

GPS & Location Privacy

• You control whether exact GPS coordinates are stored — you can round them to ~1 km in Settings.
• When exporting data, you can choose to round or completely remove coordinates.
• GPS data is stored only on our server and is never sent anywhere else.
• We do not track your location in the background. GPS is only used when you choose to log a find or start a hunt.

Security

• All connections use HTTPS encryption.
• Passwords are hashed with bcrypt — we never store or see your password.
• We support passkey authentication for passwordless, phishing-resistant sign-in.
• Session tokens are short-lived and securely managed.

Site Sharing

• Sharing is always opt-in. You choose exactly which sites to share and with whom.
• You can revoke access to shared sites at any time.
• Nothing you add to Signal Bouncer is ever publicly visible.

Analytics

• We use minimal analytics (Google Analytics) to understand how the app is used — not to track individuals.
• We do not fingerprint browsers or create user profiles for marketing.
